Day 1: Departure from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning departure from Kampala. Ensure you have packed all essentials including your camera, binoculars, safari clothes, and personal items. Enjoy a quick breakfast in Masindi town. This is also a good time to stretch and use the restrooms. The drive towards Murchison Falls National Park offers scenic views of the Ugandan countryside. Arrive at the park’s southern gate and proceed to the top of Murchison Falls.
Witness the magnificent Murchison Falls where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges 43 meters. Take photos and enjoy the view. Drive to the lodge or for a delicious lunch. Enjoy the ambiance and relax before your afternoon activities.
Head out for an afternoon game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Return to your lodge or camp for relaxation. Enjoy dinner at the lodge at Fort Murchison Lodge/Pakuba Safari Lodge and share stories from the day.
Day 2: Safari Activities in Murchison Falls National Park
Set out for an early morning game drive when animals are most active. Explore the Buligi, albert, pakuba and other tracks and spot predators such as lions and leopards. Return to the lodge for an early lunch before heading out for the afternoon boat cruise.
Embark on an afternoon boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. Look out for hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species along the riverbanks. Return to your lodge for some relaxation.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Check-out from the lodge and begin your journey back to Kampala. Stop for lunch in Masindi town. Reflect on the safari experience and maybe buy some souvenirs. Resume your drive to Kampala, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Arrive in Kampala, concluding your 3-day safari to Murchison Falls National Park.
